In some cases, the elevated temperature of incoming
water can cause the Cross-Flo's surfaces to become hot during
operation and for sometime thereafter. Allow time for surfaces
to cool before servicing the Sieve, or wear appropriate protective
gear.
As splashing of hot water could present a hazard, removable
covers that enclose the headbox, ramp and screen are available
from Kason. It is recommended that cleaning or servicing of the
Sieve be done when water is not flowing.
When appropriate, safety labels warning of hot surfaces are
located on the headbox and/or the splash covers. Should these
labels become worn or damaged, please contact Kason for replacements.
